ORIGINAL MUSICAL PRODUCTION CLASS: Suggested Ages: 6-16. This class will perform a Full-Scale Musical Production in a theater accompanied by a live band! Students will develop characters, learn choreography and sing original songs composed by Theatrikids students and staff. Introducing the BRAND-NEW Original Musical For Spring 2010: The Eight E’s is the story of 8 high school classmates (whose names begin with the letter “E”) who meet on Facebook. The unlikely new friends find themselves swept into an adventurous journey that could lead them to finding a buried treasure beyond their wildest dreams! If they can work as a team, they may just outsmart the modern-day Pirates on their tail, but nothing can prepare them for the exciting plot twist that makes the end of this show one to remember! The 8E’s will have audiences at the edge of their seats, with a feel-good ending that’s appropriate for the whole family. INSTRUMENT PERFORMANCE CLASS: Suggested Ages: 9 and up. We are currently offering the following instrument training courses: DRUMS, GUITAR, BASS GUITAR, and VOCAL PERFORMANCE classes. All programs will culminate with a final showcase of what the students have learned in the form of a Rockin’ Performance Recital! “I Want to Rock” is an innovative program that teaches students to play an instrument through a series of fun and easy lessons. Students will compose an original song which we will copyright together at the end of the class. All students will receive a combination of one-on-one instruction, coach-led Improv-jams in pairs, and full band performance practice for their final show, which will showcase the student’s new skills on their instrument. GUITAR Lessons (Electric and/or Acoustic, Bass Guitar also available) DRUM Lessons (Drum Kit provided, please inquire within) VOCAL Lessons (Advanced Vocal Performance) All students will get instruction on playing their instrument, plus helpful worksheets containing practice exercises. Students will get to keep a recording of their song, as well as a certificate stating proof of copyright for their work. The final performance will be open for all family and friends to enjoy! TV/FILM ACTING CLASS: Suggested Ages: 6-16. This class will focus on acting techniques for the TV/Film Industry. Students will get comfortable performing in front of a camera as they write and perform original commercials, jingles, and skits that will all be professionally edited and included in a VIDEO RESUME that each student will receive at the end of the semester, to start them on their lavish careers. “Sell It!” is an acting class designed specifically for students bound for the TV/Film Industry. It is a fun and creative way to get young actors prepared for professional auditions, and we’ll get you set up with a Video Resume that’ll knock their socks off, earning you instant devastation from industry professionals! “Breaking in” to the entertainment industry through the commercial sector can lead to a rewarding career in Television and Films, and we’ll get you inspired to GO FOR IT!
